EP 42

Closing Gaps That Can Bring Our Communities Together

with Yusef Freeman

Matt Story | 4/18/2021

Yusef Freeman, Managing Director, California at Jonathan Roses Companies, had an early dream of going to space thanks to the inspiration of Guy Bluford. We are lucky that Yusef kept his two feet on the ground though as he has been able to make a big impact in the revitalization of communities across the country. In this pod, he shares his story of growing up with two parents that instilled in him the joy of being Black and to follow his interests as you never know where they might take you. Listen to this episode to learn more about how the real estate industry has played a direct role in extending the wealth gap in this country and what Yusef is doing to directly address it. Added bonus of many great 90s hip hop references within the convo.
